St. Louisans have been deprived of their favorite frozen cocktails for nearly a year and a half. The wait will soon come to an end when Tropical Liqueurs (Trops) opens the doors of its new location in The Grove neighborhood at 4104 Manchester Ave., St. Louis, Missouri 63110.

Owners are working on the details for their final permits and hope to open soon. “We are ready to welcome St. Louis back to Trops just in time for patio season,” says Billy Thompson, who owns the St. Louis Tropical Liqueurs franchise with his brother Bradlee Thompson and sister Connie Vaughan.

At three times the size of their previous location the new space offers more room for guests, a 2,000 square ft. patio, ten televisions and an outpost for Guerrilla Street Food. Fourteen frozen drink machines will serve up classic favorites like the Silver Bullet and the Tiger Paw and new flavors including a Frose. Trops will also introduce a Sunday Brunch that will feature fare from Guerrilla Street Food and a pop-up Kaldi’s coffee bar.

“All things happen for a reason, and this new location is proof of this. This move has given us the opportunity to take what we learned and start fresh in a supportive neighborhood in a space that is perfect for Trops,” says Thompson.

Although the opening date is still to be determined, the owners have already decided that they will be collecting donations for Pride St. Louis the first three nights it is open.

“Ever since we decided to move to The Grove we have worked with our neighbors to become active members of the business community. And, we’re not just small business owners we also live here in The Grove and want to give back,” says Thompson.

The opening date will be announced as soon as it becomes available. Once the date is announced, Trops plans to be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. until midnight.

Trops fans are encouraged to follow the establishment on Facebook @TropsSt.Louis and Instagram @TropsGrove for opening details.
