Tournament Benefiting Ovarian Cancer Awareness Set For July 8

The 7th Annual “Washing Out With Washers” (WOWW) Washers Tournament to benefit St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA) will be held Saturday, July 8, at Tower Grove Park (at the Tunica site).

This benefit tournament is being organized by JMJ Events. Players should plan to arrive by noon for bracketing, with the competition beginning at 1 p.m.

There will be 32 team brackets. The cost to participate is $30 each or $60 per team. Spectators will be asked to pay $15 each, in support of SLOCA.

Beverages for participants have been donated from Urban Chestnut and Schlafly Brewery, and food will be provided by Pappy’s and Billy Goat Chips. Water and soda will also be provided to participants.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle – tickets will be available for $1 each, 6 for $5, or “nose to toes” for $20. The winner of the raffle will get half of the pot, with the other half going to SLOCA.
