The new Dancing in the Commons series returns on June 1st. The series is presented by AARP in St. Louis in partnership with the Nine Network and St. Louis Pubic Radio.
Professional dancers from Convergence Dance and Body Center will provide mini-lessons before each event. Then, dance the night away or just take in the scenery from 7–9:00 p.m.
“The arts and culture are the heart of every city, so we are thrilled to offer Dancing in Commons. The Public Media Commons is the perfect place to celebrate the art and fun of dancing. The space is known for bringing the community together to create and share innovative experiences,” says Jack Galmiche, president and CEO, Nine Network of Public Media. The Public Media Commons was listed in St. Louis Magazine’s “101 Things Every St. Louisan Must Do!” list.
The free series is part of First Fridays in Grand Center in May, June, and August in the award-winning Public Media Commons, 3653 Olive Street, between the Nine Network of Public Media and St. Louis Public Radio. The final part of the series will take place August 3rd with Tango lessons.
You must be 18 years and older to attend. There will be snacks for sale along with a cash bar. Please bring chairs for seating. Free, but registration is required at nineNet.org/dancing.
