St. Louis metro area residents, downtown workers, visitors and convention attendees now have access to a doctor 24 hours a day and seven days a week without having to make a run to an overcrowded emergency room.

Downtown Health and Wellness announced today that Downtown Urgent Care, located at 916 Olive Street in downtown St. Louis, will become the first and only urgent care facility in our region to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays.

The urgent care will also serve as a primary care facility, making it convenient to get routine medical exams, flu shots, other immunizations, physicals and check-ups at any hour of the day.

“When we first opened in 2009, my goal was to bring affordable and expert healthcare to the downtown area,” said Sonny Saggar, MD, owner and operator of Downtown Urgent Care. “Now almost 10 years later, we are thriving as a medical facility and are able to extend our hours of operation to meet the needs of downtown residents, office workers and tourists. We are so happy to be able to offer excellent medical services to our community.”

Saggar reminds metro area residents that no matter where they live in the region, Downtown Urgent Care is open and ready to help them.

The majority of patients who use Downtown Urgent Care carry private insurance, but the facility is one of the only urgent care centers in the metro area that also accepts Medicaid and Medicare.
