The Central West End Home & Garden Tour, the most anticipated annual home tour in the St. Louis region, returns June 14-16 featuring the homes of Kingsbury Place. Kingsbury Place was founded in 1902 and designated a City Landmark in 1973. This year’s tour offers a peek inside five homes including the legendary Southern Comfort Mansion. All of these magnificent homes were built circa 1910 and showcase a variety of architectural styles:  Arts and Crafts, Georgian Revival, English Regency, Colonial Revival, and Italian Villa.

In the early 1970s, as many of the historic homes were at risk of being torn down, the CWE Home & Garden Tour was initiated to celebrate our architectural heritage. As a neighborhood group focused on preservation of the Central West End’s architectural integrity, the Central West End Association (CWEA) is proud to take an active role in preserving the architectural authenticity of neighborhoods like Kingsbury Place and to continue this nearly 50 year tradition.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Kingsbury Place be the site of our 2019 Home & Garden Tour. The homeowners’ appreciation for the noteworthy details of their homes, while integrating modern efficiencies, is simply remarkable. I’m quite sure everyone who attends this year’s house tour will be astounded at the blending of St. Louis’ grandest architecture with the most modern living,” said CWEA President Kate Walter.

The house tour begins with a Kick-Off Party on Friday, June 14 sponsored by Ted Wight Real Estate/Dielmann Sotheby’s. The Kick-Off  Party will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets include food, an open bar and live music in a spectacular garden setting.  Tickets are $100 for CWEA members and $125 for non-members.

The purchase of a ticket to the Kick-Off Party includes entry to the CWE Home & Garden Tour Saturday or Sunday, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For those not attending the Kick-off Party, tickets to the Home & Garden Tour are $20 for CWEA members. Non-member advanced purchase tickets are $20 until May 15 and $30 after May 15 and on site. Cash, check and credit cards (except AMEX) accepted on site.
