The Chocolate Pig is the go-to date night spot for St. Louisans on Valentine’s Day, whether you’re sharing the holiday with your love or friends. With a special, one-night-only menu, this is a great opportunity to check out an amazing restaurant you may not have otherwise visited.

For Valentine’s Day, The Chocolate Pig will offer a special prix fixe, four-course dinner for $100 per couple, with multiple choices for the third course. There are even vegan and vegetarian options for the plant-based people in your life.

“Expect the menu to be inventive yet approachable, like smoked beet carpaccio with Bissinger’s chocolate, halibut with poached lobster and, of course, desserts you’ll fall in love with,” says Stephen Bleisch, general manager for The Chocolate Pig.

The Chocolate Pig’s vibe is simultaneously laid-back and romantic, with plenty of candles and dim lighting, plus an open dessert kitchen that lets you see the chefs at work.

“Executive pastry chef Tyler Davis is always coming up with new fun and yum weekly — stop by and you just don’t know what he’ll have made,” Bleisch says. “Chocolate is an aphrodisiac, right? Why not start the fun with the first course? Not to mention, one of our most popular drinks is the 30-Minute O, with chocolate on top. (Pigs apparently have 30-minute orgasms — it must be a good sign.) Plus, The Chocolate Pig’s attentive service will have your date finally realize you’re the VIP you are.”

If you’re looking for a place that’s lively, but not so loud it drowns out your date, The Chocolate Pig fits the bill. Plus, the wine list is extensive and the handcrafted cocktails are unique, including two custom creations just for Valentine’s Day: The Amaromantic features High West Double Rye, Sfumato, Doulin Rouge and a house-made bitters blend, and My Spicy Valentine, featuring Exotico tequila, Mezcal, Amargo de Chile, blood orange, lime, sugar and saline.

In addition, The Chocolate Pig will feature Bissinger’s chocolate-covered strawberries and chocolate-covered bacon bouquets for sale. The strawberries are $2.50 a piece or $24.95 for a dozen, and the bacon bouquets are just $24.99.

“Guests can call the restaurant to place orders and arrange a pick-up time,” Bleisch says. “We will also have additional non-reserved orders for pick up on a first-come, first-served basis. These will also be sold at The Market, our grab-and-go kiosk.”

Reservations are recommended from 4 p.m. to close via or 314-272-3230. The restaurant will also accept walk-ins for bar seating. The regular menu is not available after 4 p.m.
